2.1 Verifying your event in the console
Confirm your event is listed correctly and understand what event dates and usage dates mean.
Written By Ravi Kiran
Helpie Event is set up on a per-event basis. Before you configure anything, verify that your event is in the console and the details are correct.
Check your event
Go to Events in the sidebar. You should see your upcoming event listed with:
• Event name
• City
• Event start and end dates
• Usage start and end dates
If your event is missing or any details are incorrect, contact us at prioritysupport@helpie.io. We’ll fix it promptly.
Event dates vs usage dates
These are two different things:
• Event dates — The actual dates of the exhibition or conference. These are for reference and reporting.
• Usage dates — The period during which your team can use Helpie for this event. This typically starts a few days before the event (so you can test) and extends a few days after (for post-event follow-ups and data export).
Your usage period may be slightly longer than the event itself. This gives you time to set up beforehand and wrap up afterward.
Badge integration status
If your event is an exhibition organised by one of our partner organisers (such as Messe München India), badge scanning will be enabled automatically. You’ll see this reflected in the event details.
If badge scanning isn’t available for your event, your team can still capture leads using the business card scanner or manual entry.
Next steps
• Building your Data Modules (2.2)
• Setting up message templates (2.3)
