6.1 How we keep your data safe
Encryption, access controls, data storage, and our approach to security.

When you trust Helpie with your event data, you need to know it’s protected. Here’s how we handle security.
Encryption
• In transit — All data moving between the app, your browser, and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2+. This is the same standard used by banks and major SaaS platforms.
• At rest — Data stored on our servers is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
Access controls
Your data is accessible only to:
• Your Account Admin — via the console (full access to all interactions)
• Your end users — via the app (each user sees only their own interactions)
Helpie staff access to customer data is restricted to support and troubleshooting situations, under strict internal policies.
Data storage
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We use established cloud providers with industry-standard security certifications.
Authentication
Helpie uses passwordless authentication. Users log in with their mobile number and a passcode sent via email and SMS. There are no stored passwords that could be compromised.
What we don’t do
• We never sell your data.
• We never share your data with event organisers, advertisers, or any third party.
• We never use your captured interaction data for any purpose other than providing the Helpie service to you.
