4.1 Exporting your data to Excel

How to export your captured interactions, what the output file looks like, and what’s included.

One of the first things you’ll want to do after an event is export your data. Helpie gives you a clean, structured Excel file ready for CRM import or follow-up campaigns.

How to export

1. Go to Event Results → Interactions in the console.

2. Use filters to narrow the data if needed (by event, date, user, or star rating).

3. Click the Download / Export button.

4. Your Excel file downloads to your computer.

You can export at any time during your subscription — during the event or after.

What the output file looks like

The Excel file contains one row per interaction. Columns include:

Contact details — Company, Name, Job Title, Email, Phone

Data Module responses — Each Data Module you configured becomes a column with the selected choice(s)

Assignee and follow-up action

Follow-up date

Star rating

Notes — Text notes are included as a column

Consent status

Timestamp and user who captured the interaction

The file is UTF-8 encoded, so it handles international characters correctly. You can open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or import it directly into most CRM systems.

Editing interactions before export

You can edit the lead essentials (company, name, job title, email, phone) of any interaction directly in the console before exporting. Click on any interaction in Event Results → Interactions to open the detail view, then click Edit Details.

This is useful for correcting scanner errors or adding missing information before sending the data to your CRM or sales team.

Deleting data

You can delete interactions from the console if needed. Be careful — if you delete data from the server, your users will also lose access to those interactions in the app.

Pro tip: Export your data before the post-event access period ends. Once the period expires, contact us if you need a late export.
