6.5 Can the event organiser see my data?

No. Your captured data is private to your account

Written By Ravi Kiran

This is a question we hear from exhibitors who are cautious about sharing competitive intelligence. The answer is clear.

Short answer: No.

Your captured interaction data is yours alone. Event organisers cannot see it. We never share exhibitor data with organisers.

What about badge scanning?

When your team scans a visitor badge at a partner event, Helpie fetches the visitor’s registration details from the organiser’s server. This is a one-way data flow:

Organiser’s server → Helpie → your app and console

The organiser may see that a badge was scanned (this is part of their own visitor tracking). But they cannot see:

What your team discussed with the visitor

How you qualified the visitor

What notes your team took

Whether you starred the interaction

Whether you sent a follow-up message

In other words, the organiser knows a visitor came to your booth. They don’t know what happened there.

Can I access visitor data of people who didn’t visit my booth?

No. Helpie captures data only from visitors who interact with your team and whose details have been captured in Helpie by your team. It does not provide access to the event’s full visitor database or registration list.

Will this change in the future?

We’re building features that allow exhibitors to optionally share aggregate (not individual) data with organisers — for example, visitor quality metrics that help the organiser improve future events. This will always be opt-in. You will never be required to share data.
