5.4 Can an end user download their own data?
What users can and cannot export from the app. Another common question from admins managing their team’s data access.

Short answer: No.
End users cannot export or download data from the Helpie Event app. There is no export function in the app.
Who can export?
Only the Account Admin can export data, from the console. The export includes all interactions from all users in a single Excel file.
Why it works this way
Data export is an admin-level function because:
• It gives you control over what data leaves the system and when
• It prevents individual users from downloading potentially sensitive contact information independently
• It ensures the exported data is complete (all users, all interactions) rather than fragmented
What users can do with their data
While users can’t export, they can:
• View all their own interactions in the app
• Search and filter their interactions
• Send follow-up emails and WhatsApp messages to their contacts
• Add notes to any of their interactions
