4.5 What happens to your data after the access period

What changes when your access period expires and how to ensure you don’t lose anything.

Written By Ravi Kiran

Every Helpie subscription includes a post-event access period. Here’s what happens when it ends.

What happens step by step

1. During the access period — Full access. Your team can use the app. You can access the console, edit data, run reports, and export.

2. Access period ends — The console becomes read-only. You can still view data but can’t edit or export. Your users lose access to the event in the app.

3. After an extended period — Access to the console for this event is removed entirely. Your data remains on our servers per our retention policy.

How to make sure you don’t lose anything

Export your data before the access period ends. This is the single most important thing to do after every event.

Go to Event Results → Interactions, click Export, and save the Excel file. This gives you a permanent copy of all captured data, independent of Helpie.

Need more time?

If your access period is about to expire and you haven’t finished your post-event work, contact us. We can discuss an extension.

Data retention

We retain your data on our servers after the access period ends. We don’t delete it immediately. If you need a late export or want to reactivate access, reach out to us.

Your data is yours. We never sell, share, or use your captured interaction data for any purpose other than providing the Helpie service to you.
